An alluring new lounge from the owners of respected restaurant group, Passion Food Hospitality, and DC-famed Interior Designer, Walter Gagliano, has brought to guests of Ceiba a dinner supper-club ambiance.  Mix dining and entertaining with cocktails and savory appetizers any time you like. 

The space sprawls over the first two rooms of the restaurant, featuring tropical designs in nature’s hues of pale greens, earthy browns, and warm beiges. Guests can settle into burnt orange rattan chairs, banana-leaf colored couches and cheerful banquettes showcasing birds of paradise patterned-fabric accented by striped pillows of similar shades.  A wall blanketed with black and white photos displays scenes from South American landscapes and cities.  Touches reminiscent of an island paradise are leafy potted palm plants scattered here and there, while deep scarlet amaryllis flowers grace the tables. 

A carefully crafted wine list and drink menu explore the spirits of Latin America, enhancing guests’ cocktail hour or pre-dinner drink with flavors authentic to Ceiba’s inspiration — Argentina and Chile, Guyana, Jamaica, Guatemala, Brazil, Trinidad, El Salvador, Honduras, and Bolivia! Being a fusion-friendly menu of Chef Jeff Tunks, there are some apparent dishes from Tunks’ travels that are most authentic, and bite-sized portions are being served at the bar and lounge between the hours of 4 and 7 pm only. Complimentary bocaditos (appetizers) along with the special cocktail promotion is available Monday through Friday.  Each day celebrates a different country, so no two days are alike.
