Paint the Town Red!
The Color of Love at The Inn of The Five Graces
Romance is in the desert air of the
American Southwest at The Inn of the Five Graces in Santa Fe.
This intimate 22-suite compound of
adobe and river-rock buildings and tranquil garden courtyards has a magical and
fanciful atmosphere that is well suited to a little lovin’. Its luxurious
accommodations feature natural adobe, stone and tile surfaces accentuated by
rich Afghan carpets and a colorfully eclectic mix of furnishings and artwork —
the perfect setting for romance. With the “Paint the
Town Red” package, priced at $555 per night and available every night
of the week (based on availability) couples have everything they need to kindle
the flames of affection.
“Paint the Town Red” begins with a
Passionate Fruit Cocktail upon arrival to tantalize the palate and awaken the
senses. We’ll leave it up to each couple’s discretion to choose to forego the
silverware and hand-feed one another…. Red party favors and tasty treats of a
rosy hue arrive —aphrodisiacs, all — including chocolate-covered cherries and
blush Champagne. Red rose bath salts are sprinkled in your staff-drawn bath and
a cozy Frette bathrobe accompanied by red Turkish slippers are standing by to
slip into après bath. To further enhance the romantic experience, red incense
coils, beautifully boxed, may be burned in room and brought home to continue the
passion that has been reignited at The Five Graces. On the last night at
turndown, guests will receive two red thread eternity bracelets to place on
their wrists until they wear off. Also, The Five Graces leaves you with a
Dream Catcher — the traditional Native American wall decoration hung in the
bedroom and believed to catch one’s dreams.
The Native Americans of the Southwest
were strong believers in the spirit of romance. In a poem called “Loving
Spirits,” a brave named Red Bear wrote “Our spirits mingle in Love, like the
clear and swirling waters of the mountain stream.”
And that is The Inn of the Five
Graces’ wish for every couple who comes to Sante Fe to
“Paint the Town Red.” No doubt at the end of
your romantic evening, you’ll be whispering “Nu' umi
unangwa'ta” to your sweetheart –“I love you” in Hopi.
