A Tapas Oasis at Five
Graces
Light Savory Menu Satisfies Cravings All Day
The Inn of The Five Graces is
now catering to the sense of taste. The colorful compound has always been just
an easy amble away from all the celebrated eateries of Old Santa Fe, and is
still happy to take care of lunch or dinner reservations at the restaurant of
your choice, but now you don’t ever have to leave the shady seclusion of the Inn
to satisfy your hunger throughout the day.
None of the ubiquitous
southwestern burritos-quesadillas-enchiladas here; on the menu are elegant and
refreshing offerings like Chilled Tomato Gazpacho with pickled Vegetables and
Lavender Shrimp; a Sautée of Roasted Bell Peppers with Chorizo, Goat
Cheese and Basil; and Sushi Grade Tuna marinated in Shoyu with a Salad of
Pickled Ginger and Mango. A delicate Tomato and Saffron Bruschetta with
Black Olive Tapenade satisfies a yearning for something salty, while
Medallions of Pork Tenderloin, Caramelized Onions and Apple Purée offers
something on the sweeter side. Nibble on just one – if you can…but the Tuna
Niçoise and the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Seaweed Salad and Soysauce
Glaze are hard to resist, as is the tempting selection of panini. Ice
creams and crème brûlées, beer and wine, and gourmet coffees and teas round out
the menu, making it possible to have a complete and completely satisfying meal
of delectable nibbles and light fare. The menu is available from noon to 8p.m.,
Tuesday through Saturday.
This new culinary feature at
The Inn of The Five Graces is made possible by the complete renovation of one of
the compound’s century-old buildings, which houses the new kitchen and dining
area, as well as reception; food is also served in the beautiful new
umbrella-shaded courtyard created by the renovation. So leave The Inn for meals
if you like (or if you must,) but it will be hard not to snack on the tempting
new tapas…
