Adirondack Amour
at Lake Placid Lodge
Romance is in the air in the Adirondacks…in fact, there is perhaps no better
place for lovers than the Lake Placid Lodge, a serene, Adirondack lakeside hotel
with just 12 luxurious cabin accommodations and an extraordinary level of
personalized service. It is, without doubt, the ideal setting for an
engagement, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary, or romantic getaway.
A stay at the Lodge has provided many an opportunity for the perfect proposal of
marriage – and the staff is very accommodating in creating the perfect
engagement setting for each future groom. One gentleman wrote to tell us that
after a stay at the Lodge romancing his girlfriend with fires by the lean-to,
paddles on the lake, intimate dinners in the cabin, and special messages left on
his behalf by the concierge, he finally proposed to her -- and she said “yes!”
Before checking out, he made arrangements to purchase the locally crafted
Adirondack table and accompanying chairs in which they had been sitting as a
special keepsake for his new fiancée.
Special anniversary celebrations can be had with a meal of sentimental favorites
arranged in advance with the highly acclaimed restaurant, or as a gourmet picnic
lunch. The cuisine at the Lodge is, in fact, so exceptional, that it was
featured in Bon Appétit magazine.
Because of its popularity as a romantic getaway, Lake Placid Lodge has created a
special two-night package for couples to make the most of what the Lodge has to
