Philip Wood, President of The Garrett Hotel Group, is pleased to announce Megan Yates’ appointment as Assistant General Manager of Lake Placid Lodge.  Meagan has a degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University, and comes to the Adirondacks from the Rocky Mountains, where she was most recently Assistant GM at Mountain Lodge in Telluride, Colorado.  Prior to that, her experience included management positions at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad, California; at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago; and at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing Michigan.  At Lake Placid Lodge, Megan is assisting General Manager Steve Koerselman in all aspects of running the exclusive Relais & Châteaux resort; since the serious fire that damaged the property on December 15, 2005, she has been overseeing hotel operations of the 11 currently available guest cabins, while Steve focuses on the rebuilding and renovation effort.
