Dining Room The Point serves the finest cuisine prepared under the culinary guidance of Kevin McCarthy.  Each meal is an occasion, served communally, with all guests seated together.  Menus change daily, taking into careful account all food allergies and dislikes of the guests.  In keeping with Great Camp tradition of the Gilded Age, dinners on Wednesday and Saturday evenings are black tie.  Every Saturday, lunch is a gourmet cookout, served on picnic tables on rocky point with a spectacular view overlooking the lake, from which the resort gets its name.
Fitness & Recreation The Point’s Adirondack setting lends itself to outdoor activities of all levels, in every season.  Swimming and boating on Upper Saranac Lake’s clean, clear water; hiking and biking the extensive mountain trails; hunting and fishing in season; and Nordic and alpine skiing in the winter, as well as ice fishing, skating, and the whole range of winter sports that the nearby Lake Placid Olympic Village has to offer.
Airports Saranac Lake Airport, served by Continental

The airports in Burlington, Vermont and Albany, New York are both a pleasant two-and-a-half to three-hour drive from The Point.

The Point, Lake Placid Lodge and The Inn of The Five Graces, all operated by The Garrett Hotel Group, are members of Relais & Châteaux, the prestigious international association of privately owned hotels and restaurants embodying the highest culinary standards and the French “art de vivre.”
